Father & Sons Weekend was designed to encourage Fathers and Father figures in their role of huge responsibility and reward, and inspire sons to grow into confident and thoughtful men. This weekend provides space to create experiences together, be inspired, enjoy meals together, friendships and maybe a little bit of dirt and DIY thrown in. It's a weekend set apart to invest in family.

All of Narrows staff are police checked and all of our volunteers qualify to lead at our gatherings, after their applications are accepted and they are character vetted. It's a thorough process, including a Leadership Weekend where they are trained and challenged as well as multiple leadership preparation meetings leading up to camp. All of this to make sure our guests are in the best hands while at Narrows Park.

HOW DO I BECOME PART OF THE TEAM FOR THIS CAMP?

The first step is to put your hand up and let us know. The planning team is made up of people who are committed to Christ and want to volunteer their time to see it successful for years to come. The roles range from planning to design, entertainment and logistics - along with everything else that gatherings bring.

Interns at Narrows Park automatically join the committee for all of our gatherings as part of your internship.

I'M AN ADULT, CAN I VOLUNTEER?

Yes. There are many ways you be involved, everything from Kitchen help to logistics and many areas in between. If you aren't police vetted you won't be able to work as part of our program, but there may be work you can help with leading up to camp or afterwards that would be perfect.

Our camps are designed to remind you that you're an amazing creation! When you're at camp you meet great people and remember that you're loved and real friends are all around you. You take risks and realise that you're capable of so much more than you thought you were. There's 27 acres to explore and play and experience in a healthy community!

HOW DO I BECOME A LEADER?

Junior Leadership are welcome to apply from age 13. Being a Junior leader is an opportunity to be part of the organising team but without the responsibility. You assist the senior leaders and learn on the job what servant leadership can look like.

Senior Leadership is the next stage, you get nominated for this level of leadership. This is an opportunity to experience responsibility and be able to shape the camp experience.

Senior Leaders are eligible to apply for the internship at Narrows Park for a more in depth course of training and practical leadership experiences both in and out of the Narrows facilities. The study component will generally include a Certificate or Diploma. Interns at Narrows Park automatically join the committee for all of our events as part of your internship.

Yes. There are many ways you be involved, everything from kitchen crew to camp parents and many areas in between.
There is a vetting process so touch base to start things off.

Mother & Daughters Weekend was designed to encourage mothers, in what we consider the greatest role on earth, and inspire daughters to be strong and steadfast women! This weekend provides space to create experiences together, enjoy great speakers, food, friendships and maybe a little bit of chocolate. There's plenty of laughs, tears, smiles and memories made, all in the name of strengthening the Mother & Daughter bond.

You need to be part of the Narrows Senior Leadership to go on to form part of the Coordination or Committees of events. The first step is to put up your hand if you're keen and then apply by filling out a leadership application. If you aren't part of the senior leadership at Narrows but have relevant experience that will be considered. We invite youth pastors and church leaders to actively play a part in the Committee for this event. We view this gathering as a partner to your church in the discipleship of the next generation, so your input is really important to the committee.

CRANK is designed to explore the Faith Shaped Life. A life that is founded in Christ so that He is the lense that you see the rest of life through. We explore the creative side and the adventurous through challenges, games, worship, speakers and a program designed to discover what your Faith Shaped Life can look like.

Easter Camp is designed to share the account of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as the Biblical history associated with easter.

The program is packed with great speakers, games, food, challenges, themed parties, new friends and tons of fun. It's a highlight of our year at Narrows and sharing the good news of Christ is foundational. We remind youth that they are created uniquely, that they are loved and that there is Creator who has good plans in place for them, all of it shared from the Word of God.
